Less waste on the plate, more skills for youth
Hûman e.V. coordinated this Erasmus+ youth exchange (KA152). Five youth groups spent ten days at Burg Lohra and in Bleicherode (Thuringia) learning how food is produced, wasted and saved.
Themes: environment and climate change, digital skills, green skills.
Online preparation
Groups met online and prepared their national food cultures.
10-day programme
Food recovery hierarchy, zero-waste recipes, composting at Burg Lohra and a visit to Too Good To Go in Bleicherode.
Campaigns
Participants created five social media campaigns, including the videos “Master Your Portions” and “Beauty Isn’t Everything”.
Local events
Back home, each partner held a ZeroPlate event. 41 people from Remscheid joined the events in Remscheid.
